Ana Blue Grillo is an award-winning photographer, documentary filmmaker, and former United States Air Force, Airman of the Year. After college, she started her photography career freelancing for the New York Times, in Washington DC. Since, she has photographed for international NGOs, universities, hospitals, films, magazines, books, web stories, and visual presentations for many non-profit organizations, in the Americas, Asia, India, Thailand, Europe and the USA.

Nowadays, Grillo focuses on conservation projects, ranging from mangrove reforestation and wild elephant conservation in Thailand, to equine rescue and wildlife conservation, in the USA.
